How to Claim Your CalKIDS Scholarship Account

Enrollment is automatic for eligible newborns and school-aged students. Parens or students will need to register online to access funds in their CalKIDS account. To register, the following is needed:

Newborns and Young Children

Local Registration Number (LRN) on child’s birth certificate or CalKIDS Code on the letter your eceived
Child’s date of birth
County where child was born

Please wait 90 days after your child’s birth to claim your CalKIDS Scholarship Account.

Students

Statewide Student Identifier (SSID)* or CalKIDS Code on the letter you received
Student’s date of birth
County where student was enrolled

*SSID can be obtained by contacting the high school or found in high school transcripts.
