Resources for TK-12 and Community Professionals

CalKIDS 101: Training for Professionals

Training to educate staff about the CalKIDS and other early wealth accounts programs. The course explains eligibility and claiming, additional early wealth-building programs, and guidance for partners on implementation, outreach, and addressing public questions or concerns. Included are resources and next steps, like joining the CalKIDS 201. This training should take about 30 minutes, and a certificate is awarded after the course is completed

CalKIDS 201: Implementation Guidance

An action-focused guide for organizations, schools, and community leaders to encourage awareness, claiming and engagement with the CalKIDS Scholarship program. This training builds on program knowledge by outlining strategies for outreach, partnership development, and community engagement. Participants will learn how to encourage parent and student ambassadors, co-brand materials, integrate financial literacy education, and lead campaigns that expand awareness and participation among eligible families.

CalKIDS College 101: Training for Campus Partners

Training for those in higher education about claiming and using CalKIDS Scholarships, and the role that different campus partners can play in getting the word out. Training takes about 20 minutes. 

College Campaign Toolkit for Campus Champions

A toolkit to carry out a CalKIDS College Campaign on your campus. The material emphasizes the importance of selecting a CalKIDS champion, training partners with the College 101, sharing information about CalKIDS, and tracking outreach activities. It also includes resources, messaging, and graphics used to increase awareness and ensure consistent communication across campuses.
